The Band
A The Band egy kanadai-amerikai rockegyüttes volt, amely 1957-ben alakult Torontóban, Ontarióban . Tagjai a kanadai Rick Danko (basszusgitár, gitár, ének, hegedű), Garth Hudson (orgona, billentyűs hangszerek, harmonika, szaxofon), Richard Manuel (zongora, dob, ének) és Robbie Robertson (gitár, zongora, ütőhangszerek), valamint az amerikai Levon Helm (dob, ének, mandolin, gitár, basszusgitár). A zenekar zenéje az americana , a folk , a rock, az R&B, a jazz és a country elemeit ötvözte , amelyek olyan művészekre voltak hatással, mint George Harrison , Elton John , a Grateful Dead , Eric Clapton és Wilco.
